A Message from the Principal
At BBMS, we believe deeply in the limitless potential of every child, and it is my honor to serve a school community that places children at the heart of everything we do. BBMS is a school on the rise—academically, culturally, and emotionally—and this growth is the result of intentional work, unwavering belief in our scholars, and a shared commitment to excellence.
One of the defining elements that makes BBMS truly unique is our strong academic progress. Over the past years, we have seen rising scores and increased proficiency in both English Language Arts and Mathematics, and this growth has occurred across all student subgroups. This achievement reflects high-quality instruction, data-driven decision-making, and a collective belief that all students can and will succeed when provided with effective teaching and targeted support.
Equally important to who we are is our school environment and culture. BBMS is widely known as a warm, welcoming, and inclusive school where students feel safe, valued, and genuinely loved. Our scholars are deeply known. Every student at BBMS can identify at least three trusted adults who know them well, listen to them, and support them. Because of this, our students feel comfortable communicating their needs and advocating for themselves—an essential skill for lifelong success. Our environment is not accidental; it is carefully cultivated through strong relationships, consistent expectations, and a shared commitment to care.
A third cornerstone of our work is our intentional focus on mathematics instruction, particularly how mathematics is taught to young scholars. Our math vision centers on a world where learning has purpose and application. Through math stations and STREAM-based experiences, students engage in meaningful, hands-on learning that builds deep conceptual understanding. These experiences allow us to adjust instruction based on student needs, ensuring that every learner is challenged and supported. Our instructional programs are responsive, dynamic, and designed with children in mind.
At BBMS, we also hold a firm belief that students must be empowered to advocate for themselves. By the time our scholars leave us in Grade 5, they understand their rights to an effective education. They are taught what high-quality instruction looks like, how to communicate their needs respectfully, and how to speak up for themselves as learners. We believe student voice matters—and we teach our children to use it with confidence.
We are proud of our commitment to educating the whole child. BBMS offers a comprehensive Music Program, Visual Arts Program, Technology Program, and Theatre Program, ensuring our students are well-rounded, creative, and prepared for an ever-changing world. Additionally, we are known for celebrating our students throughout the year, culminating in our beloved Children’s Day Event, a joyful reminder that our scholars are the reason we do this work.
BBMS has been recognized as a school that has made significant progress, and this acknowledgment truly warms our hearts. Yet, our greatest pride comes from knowing that our students feel safe, are deeply known, and are taught by educators who are committed to excellence every single day.
