Family Resources
The New York City Public Schools Office of Family and Community Empowerment (FACE) plays an important role in strengthening partnerships between schools and families. FACE works to empower families by providing access to resources, training opportunities, and workshops that support student success and well-being. Through its programming, FACE focuses on building strong home-school connections, ensuring that families are informed, engaged, and equipped with the tools needed to support their children’s learning.
At the Bilingual Bicultural Mini School, FACE has been a valued partner in supporting our school community. Through initiatives such as the NYCPS Cares and NYC Reads programs, FACE collaborates with school staff and district leaders to provide consistent opportunities for family engagement. These efforts include hosting workshops, sharing literacy resources, and supporting families with strategies that promote academic growth at home. FACE representatives, including NYC Reads Ambassadors and Family Connectors, work alongside our school community to connect families with meaningful supports and information that help students thrive.
As part of this ongoing partnership, FACE will host a parent workshop on May 21, 2026, at the Bilingual Bicultural Mini School. During this session, FACE, NYC Reads Ambassadors, and Family Connectors will come together to share valuable resources and practical strategies to support literacy development across our school community. This workshop reflects FACE’s continued commitment to equipping families with tools that promote reading and learning beyond the classroom.
We encourage all families to participate in this important opportunity to learn, connect, and engage. A flyer with additional details has been shared and is available in both English and Spanish to ensure accessibility for all members of our community.
